ULTRA RED RENAULTSPORT CLIO 197

This stunning clio 197 was brought to Grand-Auto-Detail in need of some attention. Thanks to the freezing winter the owner hadnt cleaned the car for around 9 weeks, so any remaining protection on the paintwork would have been powerless against the amount of salt and grit that had been but down over the roads this winter.

So the car was booked in for a Stage 3 protection detail with a few other mix and match stages added in to the detail.  The customers main object for the detail was removing the wheels allowing the arches to be scrubbed and the wheels to have a through clean and sealant applied.

The customer turned up at 9am, i had been warned the car was rather dirty but i was still rather shocked!

   

  

 

Next up was the snow-foam and the wash stage, because of the amount of dirt actually on the car it was snow-foamed twice. Firstly it had a mixture of Ph neutral foam and an all purpose cleaner to help break down the dirt which was then followed by a high pressure rinse and then another coat of Ph neutral foam again all rinsed before the actual wash stage began this all done to reduce the amount of dirt that could possibly be dragged along the paint during the wash stage thus damaging the paint.

The wash stage was completed using the Two bucket method and a sheepskin mitt.The customer had requested that all the wheels be removed and cleaned throughly along with cleaning the arches.

 

The wheels were in terrible condition with alot of baked on brake dust and flecks of tar.

 

The wheels were throughly cleaned using acid free cleaner they also had to be clayed to remove tar and surface contaminents and sealed to protect them. Once the sealant had cured the tyres were dressed to a satin finish and put back onto the car.

whilst the sealant on the wheels was curing the car was clayed and de-tarred followed by another quick snow-foam and dried using microfibre drying towels, Once this was completed the car recieved 2 layers of Zaino polish followed by a coat of Dodo juice colour charged wax to give around 4-6 months of solid protection against the elements leaving it looking like this

 

 

The Engine bay was cleaned along with a Full interior clean

 

 All in all this car took around 7hrs to complete and it was a great to see the car looking clean again after a long day!
